The idyllic island of Koh Phayam is the second-largest island in the Andaman Sea and is located in Ranong Province in Southern Thailand. It is very much a throwback to how Thai islands used to be before tourism took its grip. Our Koh Phayam resort allows you to experience this tranquil and relaxed lifestyle. Indeed, we are a 100% biological, ecologic resort, meaning that we leave no carbon footprint, and our spectacular setting will be preserved for future generations.

The island was previously known for farming cashew nuts, and to this day, they still play a crucial role in everyday life for many locals. The February Cashew Festival is still important, and except for the main village, which actively welcomes tourists, traditions have remained unchanged for decades. While on the island, you can enjoy wild pigs, monkeys, and incredible birdlife, and for those interested in plants, the flora and fauna are quite exceptional and surround our Koh Phayam bungalows.

The island is part of the Laem Son National Park, and the unspoilt white sand beaches are a haven for tourists. At some of the beaches on the northwest and southwest coasts, you can find a few relaxed beachfront bars and restaurants where you can while away the hours. Life is very slow, but that is one of the charms and why an increasing number of families are visiting each year.

Many families looking to escape from their hectic lives come to our island and choose to stay at our Koh Phayam bungalows at PP. Land Eco Resort which has a very rustic feel but are built to European standards. The properties are situated just 300 metres from the beach. We have no neighbours, so it is a sanctuary where you can unwind and let your hair down. Our properties all have open-air bathrooms and mosquito nets which can be used in the evenings. Our guests are encouraged to use our own biological shower gel to minimise the impact that conventional products have on our planet.

At the end of 2011, we opened our second Koh Phayam resort, which is known as Heaven Beach Resort and Art and is located in the heart of Ao Kao Kwai and is run by our daughter Wan and her friendly and helpful team. Our deluxe Koh Phayam bungalows carry the same theme as those at PP. Land, although they are more westernised and less than 10 metres from the beach. From here, or sitting comfortably on your porch, sipping cocktails, you can relax, taking in the spectacular sunsets.
